Beauty Tips From My Instagram Followers

My Instagram followers have the best tips! I asked on an IG post for the ultimate beauty tip and got a lot of great answers. Here are my favorites:

@lisanne.pole:

Remove your make-up with coconut oil. It is good for your skin and it also reduces the number of products in the bathroom. Just massage your eyes with a damp wipe with oil and rinse with water. ๐Ÿš

@danielaterborg:

Spray rosewater to you face after cleaning it. It works calming and refreshing at the same time. ๐ŸŒน

@montsebrisoz:

Eat healthy and varied food. And drink a minimum of one liter of water per day. ๐ŸŒฟ

@susanclausseng:

Never go to bed with make-up on. ๐ŸŒธ

@zoa1301:

Hydrate your face before applying make-up. Especially during the colder months. ๐Ÿ’ฆ

@hetfinsemeisje:

If you use mineral powder, you can easily create your own concealer by mixing the powder with natural oil (for example almond or jojoba oil). Fewer products and packaging needed and itโ€™s better for your skin too! ๐Ÿ

@estherrijken:

Use a (bamboo) toothbrush to gently scrub your lips before wearing lipstick. It will leave your lips clean, soft and ready for wearing color. ๐Ÿ’„

@ayuddefrianti:

A beauty tip from my grandma is to use rice water as a toner. She simply washes rice off and uses that water as a toner. Oh and I love aloe vera, it’s my best friend all year round. During summer I put in on the rashes. I use aloe vera gel for my hair and face, it’s so refreshing. Another lovely thing that I love which I eat every day for breakfast is oats. I use them as a mask and a scrub. Gently grind it with my fingers, make a paste by adding some water, leave it onto the face and it’s a nice scrub while rinsing it off. My no rule: something you can eat is safe to put on your body. Look at what you already have in the house and use what you have. We tend to look outside of the house instead of appreciating what we already have. ๐ŸŒป

@mmarissah:

Use a Konjac sponge to clean your face. It is 100% plant-based, biodegradable and you won’t be needing other cleaning products. It leaves your face soft and clean.โœจ

@ngeoortwijn:

Besides the obvious things like having enough sleep and drinking enough water, it is important to let your skin breathe. Fix a day where you won’t be wearing any makeup. Use a mild cleanser even if you have oily skin. If you remove too much oil from your skin you will quickly get oily skin again. And lastly, don’t scrub too often. Dead skin cells also form a natural protective layer over your skin. ๐ŸŒบ

@marlieshordijk:

After washing your hair with a shampoo bar, rinse it with organic apple cider vinegar. This will close your scalp cuticles and make your hair shine beautifully. ๐ŸŽ

@arasmallworld:

Rub lemon zest over your face. It helps with keeping the skin young and reducing sebum. ๐Ÿ‹

@zduister:

Massage your face in the morning when applying your day cream by gently โ€œtypingโ€ with your fingertips on your face. ๐Ÿฉ

@lalavandanl:

Sleep enough, drink enough water, drink green tea, eat varied foods, use only natural skin-care products. And lastly, don’t stress too much and be kind to yourself, you radiate this too! ๐Ÿ›€

@nicolette:

Use organic argan oil for your face and hair. I rub a few drops on my face, and I look much fitter right away. I get the “scraps” of oil on my hands through my hair. ๐ŸŽ€

Which tip would you add?

With Love,
Alisson
