Sustainable fashion has a bad reputation of being hippy, itchy, hempy and unstylish. Luckily producing ethical fashion and good looking pieces is becoming more of a priority for brands. It can be hard to look for those brands but there are some web shops that make it easy for us to find them. I want to show you my latest discovery: www.WatMooi.nl. This webshop sells only clothes from sustainable brands. Every brand chooses its own way of making sustainable fashion. Some brands pay particular attention to the garment workers. For other labels been responsible with the environment is the most important. A label that is 100% sustainable does not exist, but it is important that brands are doing the best they can. After checking out the summer collection of watMooi I listed out my favorite items to make this a sustainable season.
Striped shirt and pants
This striped combination of shirt and pants from the Dutch brand Alchemist can be worn as a suit. It looks classy yet cool. The shirt and the pants are made of 100% viscose.
Colorful summer pants
This striped pants from the German brand ARMEDANGELS is a made of 100% Lenzing. It has a comfortable fit, due to an elastic waistband. Nice to combine with sneakers or with sandals.
Yellow pants
These airy yellow pants are from the brand B. young. The pants have wide legs and a close at the front with a tie. Great to wear them for work or for a night out.
Yellow dress
This yellow dress from the brand Rhumaa has a smooth, soft and relaxed fit. It is ethically made in Portugal from 70% cupro and 30% cotton. Cupro is a handmade natural fabric made from cellulose fiber. This fiber is obtained from cotton fluff and is a by-product of the industrial cotton harvest.
